Martin Zilber
Martin Zilber was a judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court. He left office on May 14, 2021.
Zilber ran in a special election to the Miami Board of Commissioners to represent District 2 in Florida. He lost in the special general election on February 27, 2023.
On April 8, 2021, Florida's Judicial Qualifications Commission recommended Zilber receive a 60-day suspension and $30,000 for mistreatment of staff and unauthorized absences.[1]
Zilber resigned from the court on May 14, 2021, after the Florida Supreme Court rejected the Judicial Qualifications Commission's recommendations and sent the case back to the commission for a full hearing.[2]
Education
Zilber received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988.[3]
Career
Prior to his judicial election in 2014, Zilber served as special counsel for The Rayes Law Firm and as a certified mediator and attorney for the law firm of Stolzenberg, Gells and Flynn P.A. Previous employers include the Traffic Hearing Office, Avatar Real Estate Services and Lansdowne Mortgage LLC, Koss Jacobs and Zilber P.A., and Miami Dade Community College (as an adjunct professor).[3]

Zilber ran for election to the Eleventh Circuit Court.
Primary: He was elected in the primary on August 26, 2014, receiving 50.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Oscar Rodriguez-Fonts.[4][5]
