I don't need to hire consultants to help me learn about our community. I’ve been there for our communities for over 20 years. Born & raised in Louisville. Have led Neighborhood, Planning & Preservation (NPP) since 2014. Established by urban, suburban and rural neighborhood leaders (2003), NPP works with “neighbors” metro-wide to watchdog/advocate re: governmental accountability/transparency, public policy. conservation, environmental justice, JCPS, TARC, “corporate welfare”, land use, preservation, LMPD, governmental budgets, etc.

I’ve lived in the California, Parkland, Old Louisville, Germantown neighborhoods, Atlanta, Southern Indiana, Highlands, Clifton, Poplar Level, Parkland & Shawnee neighborhoods.

Pre-“retirement”: Researcher, project manager, contractor/consultant in varied settings: e.g., Army Research Institute for Social & Behavioral Science (civilian field unit); Dept. of Family Practice (U of L); Humana Corporate-Sr. Manager, Primary Research; WESTAT (e.g. No Child Left Behind); Research Triangle Institute (e.g. National Inmate Survey, etc.) and KY Center for African American Heritage (Director of Exhibits), etc.

Long history of community volunteer service: e.g., Head Start (13 yr old aide); Seven Counties Services Board 1988-97, Board Chair, 1995-97); Louisville Visual Arts Association Board (1993-1996); Partners At Learning adopt-a school program (Founder and participant, 1991-94). Louisville Historical League Board , etc.
  • For years, a powerful few have advanced THEIR vision & profits at the expense of OUR quality of life and rights.
  • As Mayor, I will start the shift to a government that serves, rather than bully or dictate to the community.
  • It's time to take the keys to our city away from those who have forgotten they work for the PUBLIC. Louisville is at a crossroads. It is time for a new brand of leadership that arises from the community, with a track record advocating FOR the community.
Land Use, Urban Services District, Public Transportation, Land Bank/Vacant properties, Public contracts & community benefits agreements, LMPD, etc.
