Marty Heyen was a member of the Salem-Keizer Public Schools school board in Oregon, representing Zone 2. Heyen assumed office in 2015. Heyen left office on June 30, 2023.

Heyen ran for re-election to the Salem-Keizer Public Schools school board to represent Zone 2 in Oregon. Heyen won in the general election on May 21, 2019.

Heyen was a Republican candidate who sought election to the Oregon House of Representatives to represent District 22. Heyen lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on May 15, 2018. In addition to running as a Republican Party candidate, Heyen cross-filed to also run as an independent write-in candidate in 2018.[1]

Three of the sevens seats on the Salem-Keizer School Board were up for general election on May 19, 2015. Zone 2 incumbent Jeff Faville, Zone 4 incumbent Jim Green and Zone 6 incumbent Chuck Lee's seats were up for election. Faville did not file to seek re-election.

Marty Heyen defeated Vilma Chan Vasquez in the race for the open Zone 2 seat. Lee triumphed over Timothy Moles in the Zone 6 race, while Green won re-election to the Zone 4 seat unopposed.
