Marty Maley
Marty Maley (Republican Party) ran for election for Attorney General of Louisiana. He lost in the primary on October 14, 2023.
Maley was a Republican candidate for Attorney General of Louisiana in the 2015 election. He was running to unseat Buddy Caldwell (R), who was seeking re-election.[1] Maley was defeated in the blanket primary on October 24, 2015, coming in fifth place overall.[2]
Biography
Marty Maley earned a B.S. in zoology from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Southern University in 1991. Maley's career experience includes working as an attorney with the Maley Law Firm and a felony prosecutor with the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.[3][4] He has served on the board of the South Louisiana Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association and as the president of the ADA Board of Directors for the Louisiana District Attorney Association.[5]

Primary election
No candidate received an outright majority in the blanket primary election on October 24, 2015. The two candidates with the most votes, who qualified for the November 21st runoff election, were incumbent Buddy Caldwell (R) and Jeff Landry (R).[6]
