Marty Malone was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. He earned a bachelor's degree from Montana State University in 1972. Malone's career experience includes working as the county extension agent for the state of Montana, a fleet sales manager, and a rancher. He has been affiliated with the NRA.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My wife and I have owned a ranch near Pray Monana for over 40 years. I have lived and worked in Park County for over 50 years. I have the background that will assist me in being a successful representative for House District 57. We have two adult children and four Grandchildren. All of which live and work in Park County.

If you want to continue to have a Representative with conservative values that will vote for keeping state government limited, be fiscally responsible, protect property rights, protect parental rights, protect the unborn, protect your 2nd amendment rights and advocate for multiple use of public lands, I respectively ask for your support and your vote.

During the past legislative session, I was appointed to the three very important committees, Tax, Agriculture and Natural Resources. In addition, I also have a seat on the very important Water Policy Interim Committee. All four of these committees are very important to the citizens of House District 57.

• Protect Private Property Rights. This is the key to democracy.
• Support Agricultural profitability that will encourage land owners to stay on the land and pass the ranch to their children. Agriculture not only supports the local community but also provides open space for all to view and wildlife to have room to roam. Not just the large species but all species.
• Protect the 2nd Amendment Fiscal responsibility of state government Economic Development

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am the only conservative candidate running for this House District. I have lived and worked in Park County for over 55 years. My wife and I have owned a ranch in Paradise Valley. We have two grown children and four grandchildren. All of whom live and work in the valley.

I have served one term in the Montana Legislature serving on the Tax, Agriculture and Natural Resource Committees. All of these committees are very important to the citizens of Park and Sweetgrass Counties. Prior being elected to the Legislature; I was Park County Commissioner for eight years.

I had my first job at 17 as a horse wrangler at Chico Hot Springs. My job was to saddle the horses and take guests for rides in the area. I have been gainfully employed to this very day..

I served as MSU Extension Agent in Park County for over 30 years. My job was to provide education to commercial ranchers.

I remember the earthquake at quake lake near Yellowstone National Park. I clearly emmeber the rolling sensation at night. The force of the quake tossed me off the bed onto the floor. I also remember the hot spring water turning nearly black due the underground disruptions.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I was a horse wrangler at Chico Hot Springs at age 17. I keep the job for four summers. My responsibility at that job was to gather up the horses, saddle them. ensure the safety of the riders and take them on a trail ride.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?

There is a hallway that leads to the legislative chamber and also leads to the Governor's Office. It is critical that both branches of government communicate. The Governor needs to know each legislator and take the time to listen.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

Keeping taxes low and government smaller.

Yes.

Very beneficial. It is important to take the time to learn about their passions. On both sides of the aisle

Minimal splitting of Conty boundaries.

Tax -- the ability of this committee to influence new businesses and keep property taxes low.

Agriculture -- I make a substantial portion of my living from agricultural production. It is important to keep ranches profitable.

Natural Resource -- This committee keeps excessive regulations from negatively impacting business and jobs.

Beginning last year, I received encouragement from several individuals urging me to seek the office of State Representative for House District #59. As you may know, Alan Redfield has termed out. In fact, he was one of the individuals that encouraged me to run for the office. After prayerful consideration and family discussions I have decided to accept this challenge before me.

I have been endorsed by Alan Redfield, Ron Arthun and John Esp. I have Rural Montana Values Protect Private Property Rights Limit Government Support Agriculture Promote Fiscal Responsibility Protect the 2nd Amendment Advocate for Multiple Land Use Policies

My wife and I have owned a ranch near Pray for 40 years. I have lived and worked in Park County for over 50 years. I have the background that will assist me in being a successful representative for House District 59.
