Marva Crenshaw
Marva L. Crenshaw was a judge on the Florida Second District Court of Appeal. She was appointed by then-Republican Governor Charlie Crist in January 2009 and joined the court on February 1, 2009.[1] She was retained by voters on November 2, 2010, and again on November 8, 2016.[2] [3] Crenshaw retired on December 31, 2018.[4]
Education
Crenshaw received her B.S. from the Tuskegee Institute in 1973 and her J.D. from the University of Florida in December 1975.[1]
Career
Crenshaw was a prosecutor with the State Attorney's Office in Miami-Dade County until 1978. She joined Bay Area Legal Services in 1978, eventually becoming its deputy director. Her judicial career began in 1989 when Governor Bob Martinez appointed her to the Hillsborough County Court. In 2000 Crenshaw was appointed to the Florida 13th Circuit Court by Governor Jeb Bush.[1]
