Marvin Summers
Marvin Summers (Republican Party) (also known as Sarge) ran for election to the Texas Railroad Commission. He lost in the Republican primary on March 1, 2022.

Summers died in an automobile accident on February 8, 2022. Because of the proximity to the primary election, his name still appeared on the ballot.[1]
Biography
Marvin Summers was born in McAlester, Oklahoma. Summers served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1992 and reached the rank of sergeant first class. His career experience included working as a business development manager and founding Oilfield Connections International and Sarge's Industry Solutions, LLC.[2][3]
