Allen won re-election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Rockingham 15. Allen was unopposed in the September 11 primary election and defeated Bob Bartlett (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

On November 4, 2008, Allen won re-election in the Rockingham 11 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, winning the first of two seats with 1,665 votes.[11]
