Campaign website

Contogiannis’s campaign website stated the following:

Shrink Federal Spending Cut Taxes
The current spending in Washington is out of control. Non-military federal budgeting should be decreased. Excessive federal spending and high debt will slow economic growth. In particular, better control of entitlement program spending with elimination of duplicate spending across government agencies should be enacted. Taxpayers work hard and deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money. Democrats believe the answer to paying for all of the Covid relief money is to raise taxes and that is not the answer. The only way to do this is cut taxes and reduce government spending by shutting down progressive government experiments.

Protect the 2nd Amendment
The Supreme Court got it right when it interpreted the 2 nd Amendment as an individual right to bear arms. Gun control efforts threaten the rights of law-abiding American citizens to protect themselves and their families while criminals continue to ignore the law.

Back the Blue
You cannot have law and order without law enforcement as they play an extremely positive and important role in maintaining our nation’s safety. We need to support Law Enforcement through proper funding for recruitment and training of our police officers and promote building positive police-community relations.

Transgender Athletes
The radical left’s war on women is clear with their view on transgender athletes. There are definite biologic and physical differences between males and females that gives males a competitive advantage in sports and makes a difference. A recent Gallup poll indicates that 69% of Americans say that transgender athletes should be allowed to compete only on sports teamsthat correspond with the sexes that they were assigned at birth- and I agree with that! Title IX was passed to protect Women’s sports. This is an assault on Title IX. Where are all the feminists and their organizations to speak out and defend the rights of women? I will speak out without hesitation and support our female athletes.

Pro-Life
The Unborn should be protected. A fetus is an innocent human being and it is morally wrong to kill a human being.

Secure the Border
Over the past year under the Biden administration, America’s immigration and border controls have fallen apart due to ineffective leadership from Washington. Protecting our borders from the illegal passage of drugs, weapons, contraband and people, while promoting lawful entry and exit, is essential to homeland security, economic prosperity and national sovereignty.

School Choice
Parents and students should be empowered to be active participants in deciding the school curriculum. The federal money sent to a school should follow where the student enrolls to give everyone an opportunity to attend the school of their choice.[2]

I am a conservative Republican who was raised and lives in Greensboro, NC . I have been practicing Plastic Surgery in Greensbro for 23 years so as a small businesswoman I feel the economic pressures that our current inflationary environment has created. I am ProLife, Pro school choice for parents and students, Back the Blue, Pro 2nd Amendment, want to secure our borders, shrink Federal spending, protect our civil liberties and protect the Constitution. Throughout my medical career I have been actively involved in advocacy for my patients at the NC State and National Legislative levels as these bodies pass legislation that affects healthcare and the care that I give to my patients. I am now ready to proceed to the next level and run to be the Congressional Representative for the 6th District as I am very concerned with the direction that our country is going with the current leadership.

I am motivated, have good organizational skills, listen well to concerns, have good problem solving skills, have a good work ethic and good morals.
It is the responsibility of an elected Representative to learn and understand the concerns of their constituents and make decisions that are inline with what their constituents would want to be done or benefit from .
Having an understanding of the political process is desirable but the representative does not need to have served in a governmental or political office to run for a US Congressional seat.
Yes I do think that term limits are appropriate.
