Mary Anne Mason
Mary Anne Mason is a former judge of the First District Appellate Court in Illinois. She was appointed by the state supreme court in June 2013 to fill the vacancy created by David P. Sterba, effective July 8, 2013.[1] Although she was assigned to the appellate court, she was retained for a six-year term of the circuit court judges in 2014. She resigned in July 2019.[2][3]

Mason was retained to the Cook Judicial Circuit Court with 78.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]
Evaluations
The Illinois State Bar Association rated Mary Anne Mason as Recommended for retention in 2014.[4]
Education
Mason received a B.A. degree from Boston College in 1974, going on to earn her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1977.[1]
Career
Mason served as a judge of the Illinois Cook Judicial Circuit Court from 2000 until her appellate court appointment in 2013. She also spent five years as assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and fifteen as a private practice attorney under Kevin M. Forde, Ltd.[1]
