- “Education is critical to preparing children to help create the states future prosperity and to ensure a strong democracy. Every child must have the opportunity to succeed. I have fought and will continue to fight for our state’s future.”

- “Education costs must be contained. We must focus on creating a governance system to hold education programs accountable. I will push for greater transparency and accountability.”

- “A nutritious, ample, and affordable food supply–in which we know that our food is safe–is essential. I will advocate for safe food.”

2014
Elections for the Vermont House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Mary Barrosse-Schwartz was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Patti Komline was unopposed in the Republican primary.[3] Komline defeated Barrosse-Schwartz in the general election.[4]
