Bower filed to run as a write-in candidate for lieutenant governor of Missouri in 2016.[1] She was slated to compete with U.S. Congressman Russ Carnahan (D) and state Sen. Mike Parson (R), who won their parties' nominations in the August 2 primary elections, and Libertarian Steven Hedrick, who was unopposed, in the general election. However, Bower withdrew from the race prior to the general election.[2]
