Having been raised in the metro-Atlanta area and currently living in Duluth, I am passionate about the growth and prosperity of our state. From a young age, I was taught that serving your community is not your obligation, but your privilege; this motivated me to run for office. I believe that Georgia deserves strong, smart, accountable leadership, and that I am the candidate that will give every Georgian a voice. I am the owner of a small business in Buford, and a mother of two boys in the Gwinnett County Public Schools system.
  • I want to give Georgians a voice within their government. Every citizen deserves to be heard.
  • I want to bring responsible leadership to our state. Elected officials should be held accountable for their choices.
  • I will listen to and focus on what matters to the residents of our state.
There are several areas of Georgia's public policy that I would like to engage in. Foremost, we need to tackle the ongoing pandemic that is heavily affecting our state. Reshaping our healthcare system and making it more affordable, as well as fully expanding Medicaid, is necessary. Additionally, I'd like to improve our public transportation system to reduce costs for working families. Finally, as a mother of two boys, I want to push legislation for affordable childcare and fully funding the HOPE scholarship.
Elected officials should have the work ethic and motivation to follow through with their responsibilities. They should also be passionate about public service and work for their constituents; apathy towards the people you represent can only hurt, never help.
The legacy I would like to leave is one of progress. I want to be remembered as someone who served her community well and improved the lives of not only the residents of District 97, but the people around me.
I held a summer job at a pizza place in Lennox Mall in 1990.
I believe that, while experience can definitely be a powerful asset to any politician, it isn't necessary to succeed. As long as a legislator has the motivation, work ethic, and best intentions for their constituents, they can adapt to the new responsibilities.
I feel the governor should have a direct and cooperative relationship with the state legislature. He or she should heavily and carefully consider the what goes through the state legislature and establish a familiarity with the individual legislators.
I think having a positive relationship with your co-workers in any work environment is beneficial, and even more so in a legislative setting. Teamwork is crucial when looking to pass legislation, and it's best to know your fellow lawmakers if you want to best serve your constituents.
