Mary M. Johnston is a judge on the New Castle County Superior Court in Delaware.[1] She was appointed to the position in 2003, and her term expired on September 25, 2015.[2] She applied for reappointment in 2015 and Governor Jack Markell nominated her for a new term on October 13. The Delaware Senate confirmed her appointment on October 28.[3][4]

Education

Johnston earned a B.A. in music from Wittenberg University, and an M.A. in music from Northwestern University. She received her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law.[2]

Career

Johnston has served as chief counsel of the Delaware Supreme Court's Office of Disciplinary Counsel. She has also previously been partner at Morris James LLP. Currently, she is a member of the court's Complex Commercial Litigation Division.[2]
