I am a mother, nana and involved community member that has lived in McHenry County since 1980. In 1987 I began a career as a REALTOR and have helped many families find homes in the many wonderful communities in the county. My real estate profession led me to an interest in property assessments and eventually working in the property assessment field. I was first elected as the McHenry Township assessor in 2013, was re-elected in 2017 and 2021 and still currently hold that position. I kept my campaign promises and made significant changes in that office resulting in a professional, service oriented office that people could trust and depend on to assist them. I believe elected officials are public servants and should do all they can to be visible and available to their constituents. I am just like most people in the district in that I work hard and expect those those that are elected to represent us do so as well. When elected, I will be the representative you deserve that listens to you, that understands the issues and concerns you have and actively works to bring your voice to Springfield.
  • Affordable, accessible healthcare (including mental health)
  • Reproductive freedom
  • Providing good public education
Property tax reform, environmental responsibility, affordable housing and homelessness, improved voting access for eligible voters, equality, personal freedoms
An elected official should be an honest, hard working public servant with the integrity to do the right thing
I am just an average person that cares about the future of my community and State. If there is work to be done, I will jump in to assist where I can. I work hard, I show up, I listen and I am not afraid to ask for advice or take constructive criticism. I have the integrity to do the right thing even if it is not popular.
To be as accessible to their constituents as possible and to work with others to create and/or change laws that will improve the quality of life in the district and state.
I was a mothers helper at age 14 with a local family. I would go to their home after school, help with the 6 children, help fix dinner, eat dinner with them and then help clean up before going home. I did this for about 1-1.5 years.
Education (properly funding all schools, attracting and retaining excellent teachers); Housing/homelessness
Yes. I believe if you want to get things done you need to get to know the people you are working with. That is the best way to hear different ideas and find a way to the best solutions.
Revenue and Finance; Housing; Local Government
Government bodies should be transparent and accountable for public funds.
