Mary Mayhew
Mary Mayhew was a candidate running for governor of Maine in the 2018 election. Mayhew was defeated by Shawn Moody (R) in the June 12 primary.
Biography
A former government relations manager for the Maine Hospital Association, Mayhew was selected by Gov. Paul LePage (R) after he was elected in 2010 to serve as commissioner of health and human services. While in office, Mayhew aided the governor in shaping the state's healthcare policy until her resignation in May 2017, shortly before launching her own bid for the office.[1]
