I am a positive voice for Illinois District 52 and a reflection of Democratic values. I am a family oriented working mom who has been supporting the District 52 community for more than 20 years.
  • Ensuring high quality, safe education for all
  • Supporter of LGBTQ+ rights
  • Demanding accessible healthcare and reproductive rights
Education is why I got involved in this race. School boards and districts working so hard to safely educate are being continually attacked by people who have never looked into the curriculum or safety protocols. I want to ensure the state continues to support the schools, staff and students.

I believe healthcare is a right and everyone should have access to affordable healthcare. Reproductive care is healthcare and all choices related to care must be made by the patient, not the government.

The LGBTQ+ community deserves equal rights.
The core responsibility of the state representatives is to enact laws that help the lives of our constituents. It's a servant leadership role. We serve. It's not about us.
I worked at at video store through high school and a couple of years in college. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.
My current favorite is The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel. It's amazing WWII historical fiction.
The biggest challenges will be financial. Bills are getting paid, but there is a huge pension gap and underfunded schools. Solutions need to be found to allow for future successes.
Yes, it's beneficial to build relationships with other legislators. We all have a different history, and combining the different view points and experiences will lead to better policies.
Compromise is desirable for policy making. Legislators might have different ideas and agendas, but ultimately we should all be working to support our constituents and make the lives better for the people of Illinois. If we can all see the bigger picture, we can work to make it a reality.
