Incumbent Dina Titus (D) defeated Mary Perry (R), Kamau Bakari (Independent American), and Reuben D'Silva (Independent) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Titus defeated Patrick Boylan and Jose Solorio in the Democratic primary, while Perry defeated Louis Baker, Stephanie Carlisle, Freddy Horne, Gary Johnston, and Jeff Miller to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on June 14, 2016.[3][4][5]

Perry ran for election to the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada. She was defeated in the primary on June 10, 2014, having lost to Paul “Mitch” Gaudet and incumbent Jennifer Elliott.[2][6]
