Mary Werner
Mary Werner was a Democratic candidate for the Louisiana Public Service Commission, district 4 in 2016.[1] District 4 covers southwest Louisiana.[2]
Biography
Werner is the director of the Sweet Lake Land & Oil Company, which deals with land management, oil and gas, farming, ranching, wildlife and real estate operations. She is also the director of CKX Lands, Inc., another company that deals with land management.[3]

Werner ran as a Democratic candidate in the 2016 election for a seat on the Louisiana Public Service Commission for the fourth district. She competed with two Republican challengers in the top-two primary on November 8. In Louisiana, if a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote during a primary election, a runoff general election is not held.[3] Werner was the sole Democratic candidate file.
