The general election was held on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on August 30, 2016. The filing deadline for those wishing to run in this election was June 1, 2016.[1] Mary Wilcox defeated incumbent Terence McMahon in the Maricopa Integrated Health System District 5 general election.[2]
