The Maryland Adoption of Charter Government Amendment, also known as Question 8, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure established an alternate procedure for any county to submit to voters the question of adopting a charter form of government.[1]
