The Maryland Amend Section 44 of Article 4 of the Constitution Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 3, 1914 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure amended the forty-fourth section of article four of the Constitution, which relates to county Sheriffs.[1][2]
