The Maryland Assignment by the Court of Appeals Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 7, 1944 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for the assignment of Chief Judges and Associate Judges to the state Judicial Circuits by the Court of Appeals.[1][2]
