Maryland Charters for Banking, Amendment 3 (1936)

The Maryland Charters for Banking Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 3, 1936 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that the general assembly would grant to charters for banking purposes or renew current banking institutions unless stockholders were liable to the amount of their respective shares.[1][2]
