The Maryland Definition of the Notary Public Office Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 3, 1964 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure declared that the office of Notary Publc shall not be considered an office of profit within the meaning of the Declaration of Rights of the Maryland Constitution.[1][2]
