Maryland Executive Official Provisions, Question 1 (1970)

The Maryland Executive Official Provisions Amendment, also known as Question 1, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure created the office of Lieutenant Governor, provided for gubernatorial succession, and provided for the qualifications and joint nomination and election of candidates for governor and lieutenant governor.[1]
