Maryland Executive and Legislative Department Changes, Amendment 4 (1964)

The Maryland Executive and Legislative Department Changes Amendment, also known as Amendment 4, was on the November 3, 1964 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure made changes in regards to the term of office of the governor, the nomination of civil officers appointed by the governor, the time and conditions for introduction of bills and the submission of the budget to the general assembly. The measure also made changes in regards to the duration of sessions of the general assembly and the salaries of members of the general assembly.[1][2]
