The Maryland General Assembly Power to Suspend Sentences Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 2, 1915 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure gave the general assembly the power to suspend sentences of the court in criminal cases. The measure also gave the general assembly the power to release convicts on parole in whatever manner the general assembly may prescribe.[1][2]
