The Maryland Gifts and Bequests for Religious Purposes Amendment, also known as Amendment 7, was on the November 2, 1948 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that any gift or sale of land to any religious organization shall be void if not approved by the legislature.[1][2]
