Maryland Judge Retirement Age, Amendment 1 (1932)

The Maryland Judge Retirement Age Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 8, 1932 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure removed the provision that empowered the general assembly to allow judges to continue in office after the age of 70 years.[1][2]
