The Maryland Legislative Elections and Districts Amendment, also known as Question 5, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure established the membership of the general assembly and provided for the election of the members. The measure also provided for the creation of legislative districts and established procedures for reapportionment of the general assembly following each decennial census.[1]
