The Maryland Limit Sessions of the General Assembly Amendment, also known as Amendment 7, was on the November 5, 1940 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have limited regular sessions of the general assembly to 90 days and the compensation of members to $750.00 a year.[1][2]
