The Maryland Preparation of a County Charter Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 3, 1964 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure extended the time during which a charter board under the home rule provisions for counties may prepare a charter form of government.[1][2]
