Maryland Removal of Cases from Court, Question 3 (1980)

The Maryland Removal of Cases from Court Amendment, also known as Question 3, was on the November 4, 1980 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure amended the provisions on removal of cases from one court to another at the request of a party. The measure also provided that there shall be an automatic right of removal only for capital offenses and that in other criminal actions and in all civil cases one must show cause for removal.[1]
