Maryland Retired Judges Assignment, Question 2 (1998)

The Maryland Retired Judges Assignment Amendment, also known as Question 2, was on the November 3, 1998 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized retired Circuit Court judges of Harford and Montgomery Counties to be assigned, subject to approval by the Court of Appeals, to do an act that a judge of the Orphans' Court of Harford or Montgomery Counties may perform.[1]
