Maryland Senate Bill 930, which changed the deadlines for campaign finance reports, was introduced by its sponsor Sen. Joan Conway (D-43) on January 31. After approval by the legislature, Governor O'Malley (D) signed it into law on April 8, 2014.

Provisions

SB 930 changed the dates of deadlines for required campaign finance reports for campaign committees, including ballot issue campaign entities. The law moved the post-election finance report deadline from "on or before the third Tuesday after the election" to "on or before the second Tuesday after the election," giving campaign committees one week less time to get this post-election finance report submitted.[1]
