The Maryland Sheriff Elections Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 7, 1916 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure made the incumbent to the office of Sheriff eligible for re-election and fixed the term of office at four years.[1]
