The Maryland Succession of Treasurer Amendment, also known as Question 2, was on the November 2, 1976 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that upon a vacancy in the offic of State Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer shall act as Treasurer until a successor is chosen at the next session of the general assembly.[1]
