The Maryland Supervision of the Savings and Loan Business Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the November 6, 1962 ballot in Maryland as a veto referendum, where it was approved. The measure provided for the organization, incorporation, operation, conduct, regulation and supervision over the savings and loan business.[1][2]
