I'm a man of faith and family, a community organizer and builder, and a proven leader in the business, medical, and nonprofit sectors. I co-own Peace of Mind Pediatrics, co-develop Eastside Square on 23rd and Kate, sit on the board for the OKC Black Chamber of Commerce and the NE 23rd Street Enhancement Steering Committee, chair CAIR Oklahoma, and have founded two large festivals in OKC.

I'm a uniter. A conduit. A bridge builder.

Everyone has a right to education, shelter, privacy and dignity. I create and maintain programs that affirm these rights for youth, seniors and homeless across Ward 7 and the Mid Del area. I'm running so that we can take these initiatives to the next level.

I'm a published author, and my latest project centers around unleashing our fullest potential. I'm even giving a TEDx talk on it this month! I see so much potential in Ward 7, and with your vote, we will unlock it!
  • This position is not about bureaucracy, it's about leadership, ambassadorship, and being a champion for the people. It requires a constant presence in the community and the willingness to listen to everyone, not just the ones who voted for you or might vote for you. It's about representing the people in places of power, not the other way around. I am that ambassador, that champion. I'm comfortable in the streets, the executive suites, and everywhere in between. Personal relationships, communication and problem solving are my natural talents, and I use them to do the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
  • I'm a passionate mentor and advocate for youth because I was once a bored and broke teen surrounded by others just like me. I chose a job and they chose the streets. I'm running for office today while many of them are still running from the police. By developing jobs and programs that keep our youth out of the streets, we address much of the public safety and teen pregnancy issues. Most of our youth are not making poor decisions because they are bad, but because they are bored and broke. If you give them jobs and skills, they won't rob and kill.
  • "I had the privilege of meeting this young man about a decade & a half ago when he was my student at UCO," said Judge/Professor Dr. Jennifer Barger-Johnson. "Always articulate. Always leading his peers. Always caring for others. I am beyond proud." OKC is on the cusp of becoming one of the greatest cities in the world. But it can only do that with a strong and thriving Ward 7. As goes Ward 7, so goes OKC. With a visionary leadership style and a proven record of successful service, I am not just a candidate but a well-qualified choice to serve as the next Ward 7 City Councilman.
Economic development, affordable healthcare, youth and senior services and solving the homelessness issue.
The municipal level is the most hands on of all levels of government. It's the one that addresses the everyday needs of a citizen.
Integrity, presence among your constituents, the ability and humility to listen to them. And the will to fight for them.

Real change agents possess charisma, strategy, and perseverance.

The ability to dream is also important. A city councilor with an expansive vision for his Ward will seek the needed resources near, far - wherever they are!
I love people, and as a storyteller, hearing other people's stories inspire and motivate me. I also move around rooms full of friends or strangers the same way, and end up finding solutions for people I have previously met in casual conversations. And once I set my mind t something, I have a high success rate.
To be of the people, for the people. Not for special interest groups, not for certain cliques, not for any agendas.

You will run into a good city councilman at culturally significant events like concerts, recitals, sports games, the grocery store and at city council.

He or she is a champion, an ambassador.
That I inspired youth, raised productive children who are better than me in every way, left Ward 7 better than I found it, and turned 23rd Street into a destination that our ancestors in Deep Deuce and Greenwood would be proud of.
I printed and sold t-shirts at spring breaks, festivals, and HBCU homecoming events from age 13 to 19, when my friends and I launched a hip hop clothing brand that eventually scaled to a multimillion dollar company by the time I was 24.
The Giants in My Midst, because it's my first published book and it gives great people God sent in my life the credit for my success.
Not at all. In fact, I believe it should serve as a launching pad for a political career, not a destination. It's important to have fresh perspectives. In the era of AI and Google, it's not hard for an intelligent person to learn the ropes. I do believe that leadership experience is necessary though.
They are the bedrock of civilization. The government works for the people. And you cannot earn the trust of people with questionable stewardship of their hard earned money.
