I am a working class Kansan running on a platform of affordability. I am running because so many of my friends, coworkers, and family members are struggling to keep up. I know people working multiple jobs who still struggle to pay bills. These are hard working folks who can't keep up with costs rising week by week. Kansans should look to the future with hope, not with fear and anxiety about how they will make ends meet. That is what my platform is about. Our politicians are out of step with the needs of everyday Kansans, too focused on scoring partisan wins and making sure the good old boys get their cut. We need more working class Kansans in Topeka, we need leaders in step with the needs of Kansans, the common sense values of Kansans, and working towards a better Kansas which works for us all. We need leaders focused on working class issues. I will be an advocate for the communities of Bonner Springs, Kansas City, Lake Quivira and Edwardsville. This means being a true representative who will communicate what is going on in the legislature with residents and take their input and voice to Topeka. From Delaware Ridge to Turner we are working class communities who deserve a working class advocate with our interests in mind. I hope I can be that advocate for District 33.
  • Property Tax Relief- Providing relief to homeowners by rebuilding and strengthening the local ad valorem tax reduction fund, which will provide direct financial relief to communities to lower property taxes
  • Ending state preemption- local solutions to local problems. Folks in the Dotte know what is best for the Dotte We need Topeka to end government overreach in local affairs. When it comes to the local issues of taxation, wages and rising rents, we need all tools to be available to solve these issues locally.
  • Utility Reform-Holding Public Utilities accountable and responsive to ratepayers while limiting future rate increases. This also means educating and supporting ratepayers.
I am passionate about lowering the cost of living. The economic strain many Kansans live under affects every aspect of our communities. People don't have the time or energy to invest in community life. People's financial stress affects their health, their relationships and their families. Instead of meeting the needs of their constituents many in Topeka have chosen to ignore good governance and opt for partisan points. We need jobs that will put dinner on the table while letting you get home in time to enjoy it with your families. We need to build communities where folks know their freedoms and rights are protected. Communities where people can afford to start families and have security in that decision.
We need representatives who listen and advocate for our communities. Leaders advocating for the interests and voices of their constituents. Representatives should not be going to Topeka to advance an agenda.
Why wasn't the hunter allowed to bring his antelope and buffalo with him on the plane?
You're only allowed one carrion.

  • Utility Reform-Holding Public Utilities accountable and responsive to consumers while limiting future rate increases.
  • Change state law to allow local municipalities to institute rent control and rent reform programs
  • Property Tax Relief- Providing relief to homeowners by rebuilding and strengthening the local ad valorem tax reduction fund, which will provide direct financial relief to communities to lower property taxes
I am passionate about lowering the cost of living. The economic strain many Kansans live under affects every aspect of our communities. People don't have the time or energy to invest in community life, civic life. People's financial stress affects their health, their relationships and their families. Instead of meeting the needs of their constituents many in government have chosen to ignore good governance and opt for partisan points. We need medicare expansion in this state, we need higher wages, we need lower property taxes, we need lower rent, and we need lower utility bills. This is how we build stronger communities people can live in. Communities where people can afford to start families and have security in that decision. Communities where families thrive. We do this by ensuring that hard working Kansans succeed and aren't forgotten or left behind. We are losing many of our best and brightest in this state and our communities are poorer without them. If there is one thing I hope this campaign has accomplished, it's that it highlighted these issues and reminded citizens that their politicians should be fighting for these issues instead of attacking the rights of their constituents and dividing their constituents.
