Matt Boehnke (Republican Party) is a member of the Washington State Senate, representing District 8. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.
Boehnke (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Washington's 4th Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the primary scheduled on August 4, 2026.[source]
Boehnke also ran for re-election to the Washington State Senate to represent District 8. He will not appear on the ballot for the primary on August 4, 2026.
Biography
Matt Boehnke graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 2011 and reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Boehnke earned a bachelor's degree in government from Eastern Washington University in 1990 and a master's degree in aeronautical science, specializing in operations and management, from Emrby-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1999. His career experience includes working as the director and lead professor of the cybersecurity division at Columbia Basin College and owning a cybersecurity consulting business. Boehnke served on the Kennewick City Council.[1][2]
