Matt Greer is a conservative Republican. Matt comes from a family that has been in Arizona for generations. When he was 19, he served a mission for his church in South America where he became fluent in Spanish. At age 22, Matt Entered the US Army and attended the Infantry and Airborne School. He was then stationed at Fort Bragg, NC where he served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne’s 2/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment for 5 years and deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Matt is the father of 2 children a boy and a girl. He is a father first and sees it as his highest calling. Matt currently works as a Real Estate agent in the East Valley.
  • Capitalism- We have an affordability issue and I think the best way to combat this is to promote Arizona businesses and the amount of money coming into the state through commerce. Less meaningless taxes.
  • Education- All levels of education need to be promoted in Arizona and we need to improve our national ranking. Parents need to be able to choose where their children go to school and what they are taught. Arizona has a growing tech economy I want to make sure we are providing adequate education so that children can grow up to fill these jobs rather than us constantly having to bring in workers from elsewhere.
  • Protect & Serve- I have never shied away from public service having served in the military myself. I want to make sure that those serving and protecting our community locally have the support necessary to carry out their job safely and productively.
Housing Affordability, Commerce, Education, Public Safety and Veterans Affairs.
Humility, transparency, accountability, integrity, effective communication, adaptability and resilience are crucial for elected officials. They must listen to

constituents, be transparent and accountable, uphold ethical standards, communicate effectively, and navigate challenges with resilience to serve their

communities effectively.
I possess a strong commitment to community service, a background in real estate that informs my understanding of housing challenges, and a disciplined leadership approach cultivated through military service. As a staunch conservative, I prioritize promoting Arizona businesses and fostering economic growth. My ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and build relationships enables me to navigate complex issues and find practical solutions as an officeholder.
Core responsible for someone elected to this office are primarily responsible for representing their constituents; interests, creating and supporting legislation that addresses community needs, advocating for local concerns, overseeing budget allocations, and maintaining high ethical standards in their conduct and decision-making processes.
9/11 was a pivotal moment not just for me but for the entire world. I vividly remember the shock and confusion as I watched the events unfold on the news, not fully grasping the magnitude of what was happening at the time. It was a defining moment that shaped my perspective on global affairs and security. As I grew older and learned more about the impact of 9/11, I felt a deep sense of duty and responsibility to contribute in some way. This ultimately led me to join the Army thirteen years later, driven by a desire to serve my country and make a difference in the ongoing fight against terrorism. My deployment to Afghanistan was a direct result of the events of 9/11, highlighting the lasting impact that day had on my life and career path.
I believe the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature should be one of collaboration. Both branches of government have distinct roles and responsibilities, but they should work together in the best interest of the state and its residents. This means open communication, constructive dialogue, and a willingness to compromise when necessary to achieve common goals and address pressing issues facing our state.
I believe Arizona's greatest challenges over the next decade will revolve around several key areas. First, addressing the critical shortage of affordable housing will remain a pressing issue, given the growing population and limited availability of skilled tradesmen and raw materials.

Second, ensuring adequate support for law enforcement agencies and improving public safety will be paramount.

Last, addressing environmental concerns, such as water scarcity and sustainable growth, will also require strategic planning and innovative solutions. Overall, navigating these challenges will require collaboration, forward-thinking policies, and a commitment to serving the best interests of all Arizonans.
What matters most is a genuine commitment to serving constituents, a strong understanding of the issues facing the community, and the ability to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve effectively. While experience can provide valuable insights and knowledge, a fresh perspective and innovative ideas can also contribute significantly to legislative success.
Building relationships with other legislators is beneficial because it fosters collaboration, cooperation, trust, and mutual respect. This enables lawmakers to work together effectively, find common ground, and advocate for policies that benefit their constituents. It also facilitates networking and coalition-building, enhancing lawmakers' collective influence and ability to address challenges and enact meaningful change.
I'm interested in committees focusing on commerce and economic development,
veterans affairs and military, education, and public safety. These areas align with my priorities of promoting Arizona businesses, supporting fellow veterans, improving education, and ensuring the safety of our neighborhoods. These committees offer platforms to address key issues that are crucial for our state's growth and success.
Financial transparency and government accountability are foundational principles in my approach to governance. I believe in providing clear and accessible information about how taxpayer money is utilized, ensuring transparency in budgetary decisions and expenditures. This transparency not only fosters trust between the government and the people but also enables constituents to hold their representatives accountable for responsible financial management. As a staunch conservative, I prioritize promoting Arizona businesses and bolstering the state's economy. I advocate for reducing unnecessary taxes that could stifle economic growth and hinder affordability. By maintaining financial transparency and accountability, we can create an environment that encourages commerce, attracts investment, and ultimately addresses the affordability challenges faced by our community.
