Matt Parker is a Republican campaign consultant. He has worked as the campaign manager for Carlos Beruff, as the national field director for Bobby Jindal's 2016 presidential campaign, and as the director of legislative affairs in Jindal's gubernatorial administration.

Prior to joining Jindal's administration, Parker worked for the Republican Party of Louisiana and the organization Friends of Bobby Jindal.[1]

According to a 2012 press release from Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal's office, Parker's work with Jindal extends back to Jindal's 2004 congressional campaign as well as Jindal's 2007 gubernatorial campaign.[2]

In 2007, Parker was the executive director of the Republican Party of Louisiana.[3]

In 2010, Parker was a field director for Rick Scott's (R) gubernatorial campaign.[2] The following year, Parker worked for the pro-Jindal campaign committee Friends of Bobby Jindal.[3]

Parker was Jindal's campaign manager in 2011 along with Timmy Teepell.[4][5] In November 2011, Parker started working for Jindal as his director of intergovernmental affairs.[2] He has also served as Jindal's legislative affairs director.[6]

On March 31, 2015, both The Times-Picayune and The Des Moines Register reported that Jindal had relocated Parker and Taylor Teepell to Iowa in order to "slide into national campaign roles for Jindal if he runs." Specifically, they worked for the American Future Project in Iowa.[6][7] On June 24, 2015, Bobby Jindal announced his presidential campaign and solidified his campaign team, naming Matt Parker his national field director.[8]

Timmy Teepell, Bobby Jindal's former campaign manager, is Parker's brother-in-law.[6][9] Bobby Jindal suspended his presidential campaign on November 17, 2015.[10]
