Campaign website
Spurlock's campaign website stated the following:
Voter Pamphlet Information
Too often government feels distant from the people. I’m not a millionaire, career politician, or a political insider. I’m a renter, a parent raising young children, and someone who understands how difficult it has become for many to afford living here today.
Through my work, volunteering, and as a musician, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with people in communities across our county. Those experiences have deepened my appreciation for the people who make Josephine County such a special place to live.
Integrity and Transparency
You deserve leaders who make decisions based on facts, not personal relationships or private gain. As Commissioner, I will focus on strengthening public trust by publishing clear explanations of major county decisions through press releases and county social media, and I will advocate for plain-language summaries of budgets and contracts.
Community Involvement
For years I have shown up to county meetings, asked questions, and worked with neighbors to improve our community. I have helped organize public events, volunteer projects, and civic forums that bring people together to solve problems. These experiences have given me a clear understanding of the challenges our county faces and the importance of leadership that listens.
Practical Solutions for Community Challenges
From housing to infrastructure and jobs, our county must be proactive. By supporting long-term economic development and bringing our tax dollars back from the state and federal governments through grants, we can strengthen the future of our county.
Josephine County has tremendous potential. With thoughtful, forward-thinking leadership and a commitment to collaboration, we can build a future where our communities become stronger than ever.
