Matt Strickler
Matt Strickler (Democratic Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on August 4, 2026.[source]
Strickler was the Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources. He assumed office in 2018. He left office on September 27, 2021.
His appointment was announced by Governor Ralph Northam (D) on December 14, 2017.[1] Strickler resigned in September 2021 to pursue new opportunities.[2]
