I have been an educator at colleges and universities for most of my career. I first started with an internship in the Dean of Students Office at UC Berkeley, and then attended The Ohio State University, earning my Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs. I have worked in commuter student affairs, residence life, campus programs, and currently am a Student Conduct Investigator. My goal is to represent all of South Orange County in the best interests of our community college students by using my drive for efficiency and attention to detail. With my experience as a Student Conduct Investigator, I think that brings a unique lens to the office that hopefully Republicans, Democrats, and No Party Preference voters all can get behind.
  • Student Success: Students deserve clear, publicly-available paths to transfer or graduate. They should not have their progress delayed due to being blocked by capped enrollment in required courses.
  • Streamline Systems: We should not reinvent the wheel by creating different systems that do the same things at Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College, and ATEP. Collaborating across campuses will help the district save money and dedicate more energy to expanding upon successful initiatives.
  • Expand Career Services: Integrate resume-building, cover letter-writing, and interview skills into each semester of a student's plan. Refining these skills over time ensures that when students are approaching graduation, they will be checking in with career services for the last time-not the first.
Increasing access to higher education

Re-funding public institutions so that students are not faced with monumental levels of debt

Promoting integrity and accountability in public office
