Matthew Bell (Indiana)
Matthew Bell (b. October 28, 1974) was a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing the 83rd District from 2004-2010.
On June 2, 2010, Bell announced he would be removing his name from the November ballot and leaving politics for a job in the private sector.[1]
Bell is Executive Director of Literacy Empowering and Advocating Project of Noble County Incorporated. He worked in the Development Department of WFWA PBS-39 from 2001-2002, was an Account Executive with Federated Media from 1999-2001, and an Account Executive with Corporate Software Solutions from 1998-1999.
He is a member of the Communities That Care Public Relations Committee, Drug Free Noble County Community Board, Noble County Tutoring Task Force, Finance Committee of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish, volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Sergeant at Arms with the Albion Rotary Club, member of the Indiana Adult and Continuing Education Association, and the National Center for Family Literacy.[2]

On November 4, 2008, Republican Matthew Bell won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 83 receiving 17,157 votes, ahead of Democrat Steven Heaston (8,443 votes), and Libertarian Herbert Jack Evans (923 votes).[3]
