Matthew Christian is a district court judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was appointed to this position by Gov. Sean Parnell (R) on November 21, 2013. Christian won another a full four-year term in the retention election on November 8, 2016.[1]
Education
Christian received his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.[1]
Career
Christian is a former assistant district attorney and private practitioner for Borgeson and Burns, PC. In 2007, he became the magistrate judge and master for the City of Kenai in the Fourth Judicial District. He was then appointed to the Fairbanks District Court in 2013.[1][2]
