Johnson was appointed to this position by Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty and took office on January 1, 2008.
Johnson served as chief judge from November 1, 2010, through October 31, 2013.[1][2]
Education
Judge Johnson is a graduate of St. Olaf College (1985) and William Mitchell College of Law (1992).[1]
Career
Johnson served as a judicial law clerk to Charles Wolle and then to David R. Hansen. He joined the law firm Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd., in 1994. He then practiced with the firm Smith Parker, P.L.L.P., from 1995 to 2001 and the firm Halleland, Lewis, Nilan & Johnson, P.A., from 2001 to 2007.[1]
